Identity and Democracy Party is honored to announce that Chega officially joins its ranks.
Chega, which in Portuguese means “enough !”, was created in 2019. The party ran in the European elections within the “Basta” coalition. When it first participated at the national level, the political party obtained a deputy in the person of its president.
André Ventura was successively a professor of law at the Autonomous University of Lisbon, polemist and sports commentator, and finally a politician. He left the PSD (centre-right) in 2018.
The leader of Chega has already announced that he will run for the next presidential election in January 2021. Polls give him the second position at the moment for these elections.
With the affiliation of Chega, our Identity and Democracy Party is further growing in order to bring hope to people everywhere in Europe.
